January 2023: Releases & More

2023 started off big! In January, I released a new collection of prints with the company Wallnut. The collection features a lot of new pieces plus some of my favorite old prints, and also some limited edition prints that you can only get at Wallnut. The cool thing about this company is that you can order the prints framed, so they come to you ready to go with a hanging guide. You can shop those prints here, but this post is really about the originals.

The originals in this collection were a further exploration of negative and positive space and balancing composition through the use of shapes and color. There are some organic influences (check out It’s Giving Florals I & II), some Matisse influences with curved flowing lines, and some mixed media collage works inspired by nothing but my own brain. The originals are being offered on my website under paper pieces, unframed for $250, and you can shop those here.

Two of the pieces from this collection will be in an exhibition with Where Ya’Artworks, called “Come As You Are.” The show opening is Wednesday, February 8, and this curated group show highlights the feeling of Mardi Gras as interpreted through local artists. “Mirror” and “Slow Roll” will be hanging in the gallery at 1901 Royal St.

My piece Irish Chanel will be hanging at the Old 77 Hotel, also as part of this show.
